WEBSITE AWARDS
The MyFunTeacher.com website was designed as a way for me to communicate with my students and their families. It has grown from a single page of basic information into what you see today.
Thank you to everyone who visits our site and a special thank you to the people who feel MyFunTeacher.com deserves an award or kind email. I happily and proudly display these website awards and emails of encouragement! - Miss Powell |

Hi there ,
I just wanted to send you KUDOs on your wonderful website! I am in the process of trying to put one together for my classroom - I teach 5th grade in Sparks, NV - and I came across your website. It is by far the best I've seen. I am looking into different options for constructing my website. I am by no means "an expert" as you seem to be. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I'm sure the children and their parents love and appreciate all that you do!
Sincerely,

Hello,
A while back you submitted a request for the Kids Online 101% award. I had
taken a very long break from the site and am just now trying to get things
caught back up. I visited your site (finally) and thought you did a superb
job! Everything looked great!

Dear Miss Powell's Class,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alyssa, but my friends on the internet call me Lissy. I work at an elementary school in a small town in Georgia. I'm a Teacher's Assistant and I work with children in the first grade. I was searching the internet for some things that might help my first grade friends study their sight words when I stumbled across your website! (Okay, so I didn't really "stumble" since I wasn't really walking - I'm sitting in my bedroom at home! - but I did find your site by accident.) I thought the colors and characters were so bright and attractive! I just couldn't help taking a closer look.
What a neat idea! Each of you have your own page to display your work. Now that is something to be proud of! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading what you wrote. I especially liked the instructions for eating Oreos. I love those things! And, yes, I like to dip them in milk also. I recently learned a new way to eat Oreos. Perhaps you'd like to have an adult help you with this easy recipe sometime. (Click here for the recipe.) I hope you like this Oreo treat as much as I liked your wonderful writing!
Thanks so much for sharing.
Your friend,
Lissy in

Miss Powell,
Upon browsing for activity ideas, I came across your wonderful web page! I
am a second grade teacher in Beatrice, Nebraska. This is only my second
year of teaching and last year I taught Kindergarten so I'm always
searching for 2nd grade ideas. I loved many of your writing samples and
project ideas. Thanks for taking the time to put together a wonderful site
of information that we "rookies" can get inspiration from!
Happy Holidays!

Miss Powell,
I am a "sorta retired" teacher but I think all teachers never lose their "class"! I used to teach in Champaign, IL, (East central IL) but moved recently to Mills River, NC near Asheville, NC.
Your website is fantastic!
Everything is fun, exciting, bold, yet easy to read. That is my biggest criticism of websites. They have such cute backgrounds that you can't read the material... not yours!!!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks,
Faye

Your website is fantastic! In fact, I never have seen a better one anywhere. Your students worked so hard on their stories. I want my second-graders to see what great writers they are. Thank you for posting their work for everyone to share and enjoy.
